Showcasing high-performance automatic production and record EXPO scale, the Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) is estimated to attract over 50,000 domestic and overseas visitors and generate some USD 200 billion in business deals.
The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) will be working together to hold the 2015 TIMTOS from March 3rd to 8th at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, TWTC Hall I and III, and the Yuan Shan EXPO Dome,
This biennial show looks to break its own record, with 1,000 exhibitors from 17 countries occupying 5,400 booths. The show is ranked 2nd largest of its kind in Asia, bigger than JIMTOF. It is the star among the machine tools exhibitions in the world.
During a pre-conference event, the show organizers highlighted the industry’s high-efficient automated production and record EXPO scale. It also touched on the Taiwan Controller Appliance Pavilion and the metal forming machine exhibition to be held at the Yuan Shan EXPO Dome for the first time.
“Though global exports of machine tools decreased, Taiwan’s overseas shipments for such goods remained steady,” said David Chuang, vice chairman of the Machine Tool Committee, TAMI.
Mr. Chuang also said “TMTS is focused on supplying machining centers and CNC lathes. At TIMTOS, the whole spectrum and essence of the industry will be showcased. FTA between South Korea and China has serious commercial consequences on Taiwan’s machine tool industry. The local manufacturers have to exert greater effort while the government needs to further its policy.”
Meanwhile, TAITRA encouraged TIMTOS to put strong emphasize on important markets and teamwork with its 60 global branches.
Some 7,000 overseas visitors and 46,000 domestic exhibitors are expected to join this event.
