TMTS 2014 Presents Manufacturing-as-a-service to Satisfy Customer Demand

TAICHUNG, TAIWAN — TMTS 2014 – Taiwan International Machine Tool Show – will be highlighted under two themes of “5 Axis Machine Tool Cutting Application” and “Servitization in Manufacturing”. Many exhibitors will showcase the cutting performance and related applications of 5 axis machine tool during the show. Meanwhile, facing the global trend of customized manufacturing service, many countries value the concept of manufacturing-as-a-service, in order to satisfy customer demand. Due to the lack of manpower, nowadays using intelligent automation in manufacturing and combining custom service can make the manufacturing more efficient. Europe and USA also follow this trend, and introduced the policy of Industry 4.0 and Reindustrialization respectively. At TMTS, there will be a series of presentations to introduce how to implement manufacturing service in machine tool industry.
TMTS 2014 will be held from November 5th to 9 th 2014 hosted by Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) at the Greater Taichung International Expo Center (GTIEC). TMTS will showcase under an innovative exhibition style of “Exhibition integrated with Manufacturing Supply Chain" which is highly recognized by exhibitors and buyers from all over the world. The exhibition area will be 78,000 square meters with more than 3,700 booths exhibiting all types of high precision machine tools, components, accessories, tools and automation equipment. There are 54% and 45% increase in overall scale and exhibitor number respectively than the last show in 2012.
TMTS 2014 is the largest machine tool show this year in Taiwan, and provides a significant platform for global machine tool manufacturers and consumers. The order amount is expected to be over NTD 6 billion with transaction size surpassing the last show.
